Three things to remember

Homelessness can happen to anyone

We are all just a crisis or two away from becoming homeless… a failed relationship, the loss of a job, missed mortgage payments, the death of a loved one. It could happen to anyone.

There’s more to homelessness than sleeping on the street

Sleeping rough is just the most visible aspect of homelessness. If you’ve not got a roof over your head, what else haven’t you got? A family? Support? Friends? Security?

Tackling homelessness takes more than a roof

Family breakdown, addiction, mental illness and abuse are some of the main causes of homelessness. Getting a roof over someone’s head is a start; then you can begin to tackle the real causes and find solutions for independent living.
